STRONG GUARD INSULATING WALLDRYING PLASTER - 3
PROPERTIES:
The STRONG GUARD Insulating Walldrying Plaster is a dry-mixed mortar that can be used up by adding water to it. The product consists of cement, admixtures and rough grained, riddled quartz. The size of its granules provides more than 30% porosity. The special admixture gives an effective vapour permeable property to the product and ensures dry wall surfaces without salt, nitrate and mould. The product is fibre-strengthened.
There are some basic colours available to order:
White Yellow Green Brown Red Grey Black
FIELD OF APPLICATION:
-
Plastering of damp walls on both sides as far as 50 cm above the visible moistening. Need to apply a min 1 cm thick layer, but if the wall is 50 cm wide, use max 2,5 cm thick layer.
-
Dryer plastering – rebuilding to living place - of cellars. The degree of moistening determines the thickness of the insulating layer – min 1,5 cm, max 2,5 cm.
-
Plastering on dry surfaces which need continuous airpermeability. Apply min 1 cm thick layer.
APPLICATION:
-
Preparation: First remove all the the old plasters, lime, paints, soot and dust from the wall. Incise the horizantal wall joints 0,5 cm deeply and sprinkle the wall with water to avoid the dust. When the surface gets dried apply Strong Guard waterproof bonding adhesive as it is written on its packaging.
After its solidification plastering can be started.
- Plastering: Smooth, homogenous mortar can be made by mixing 25 kgs of plaster
with 4-4,5 litres of water.
The ready mortar can easily be applied both by hand and machine.
Recommended to make a two-coat plastering. First apply a layer with the size of the
required thickness-0,5 cm. When it can bear the next layer, apply the next 0,5 cm layer and
smooth it. When laying distempered plasters the insulation layer needs to be only 0,5 cm
thick.
